Doesn't it seem like 2017 just flew by? Well, you know what they say...  Time flies when you're having fun!  I can hardly believe we're already up on the cusp of 2018! Don't you simply adore the idea of all the exciting things that are in store for us?  Maybe you're not quite there. That's okay. I remember those days. So, i f you're still building your faith, here's a little spot of encouragement for you.  I'll be back to post a few of my pics from early January 2018 in a few days.  Stay tuned! Let the Light Shine!

Hi world!  It's been a long while since I have published any of my posts to Liz's Chatter. That means life has been beautiful, blessed and busy!  I am so grateful for the opportunities that God places in front of me. One such opportunity is to sit in Joy Studios and do music stuffs... you know, write, play, cover and record. Today's post contains a short snippet of a song cover we played around with. The song is called Let the Light Shine.

This song resonates with my spirit so deeply; as does the old hymn "What 'Er My God Ordains Is Right" . Have you ever heard it? " Was Gott tut, das ist wohl­ge­tan" (original German language) was  written in 1676 by Samuel Rodigast for his friend Gastorius who'd become seriously ill;  Gastorius later recovered and wrote the melody to put his dear friend's penned words to music.  To this day, I desire a friend like that... you know... the kind that writes for you :)  I suppose there are a couple of reasons these songs feel so right, so real to my soul. It seems a bit deep to put into words but if you have a minute, stick around for my attempt at explaining.  Firstly, I've seen that so many in the Christian world believe only good/fun/exciting things happen to the ones God loves.
