These three little words are HUGE .   "T rust without borders" is such a challenging statement, at least for me.  It seems from the earliest memories in my experiences of interaction with 99.99% of humanity I've believed that borders are super necessary  and  trust is dangerous.  Trying to trace that issue backward, it seems that there are a number of things  that this could be attributed to: 1. Early childhood molestation by a family friend. 2. Controlling, angry authority figures.  3. Blah, blah, blah Like, everyone has a story. Right? Our stories include loss, betrayal, fear, and pain. The specifics may change but the trespasses are much the same.  Our stories are similar, so perhaps our need to increase in areas of trust is also similar. Gaining wisdom is a long and sometimes difficult journey. I know that's shocking to some who believe that they can list it as a need in their prayers and it'll be downloaded to them like an e-book.  Sorry to burst that sweet, pink, fuzzy bubble but that's not the way it usually works.  Gaining wisdom is often more like a treacherous voyage that takes us into seasons of life where we become intimately acquainted with loss, rejection,  and heartbreak.  I can tell you that never on this side of Heaven will we be filled with all wisdom. It seems as if we can only hold a certain amount in this temporal state; I believe that as we seek the Lord for wisdom, He determines the areas that we need to gain wisdom to function well in the destiny set before us, and then He sets us along the path.  The outcomes of gaining wisdom lead to deeper relationships with those around you, it leads to living life with the eternal always in mind. If you have a difficult time trusting God. This post is with you in mind. I have been there and I really want to reach out to you and share what I've learned in my journey to trust ability. Our ability to trust God is directly related to our experience with earthly authority figures. We unwittingly project the failures of various earthly leaders onto God and we set up walls to keep us from feeling vulnerable. These walls will keep us from closeness with God. May I encourage  you to challenge yourself in this area and intentionally break down at least a portion of the walls you have built? Please realize that humans will fail. Even when we try not to, we do. Apparently, falling short is part of the human experience. We're all on the giving and the receiving end of that, so be careful that you don't place expectations on others that you yourself are unable to live up to. Doesn't it seem like 2017 just flew by? Well, you know what they say...  Time flies when you're having fun!  I can hardly believe we're already up on the cusp of 2018! Don't you simply adore the idea of all the exciting things that are in store for us?  Maybe you're not quite there. That's okay. I remember those days.
