Trust Without Borders

These three little words are
HUGE.

"Trust without borders" is such a challenging statement, at least for me.
It seems from the earliest memories in my experiences of interaction with 99.99% of humanity I've believed that borders are super necessary and trust is dangerous.

Trying to trace that issue backward, it seems that there are a number of things
that this could be attributed to:
1. Early childhood molestation by a family friend.
2. Controlling, angry authority figures.
3. Blah, blah, blah

Like, everyone has a story. Right? Our stories include loss, betrayal, fear, and pain. The specifics may change but the trespasses are much the same.

Our stories are similar, so perhaps our need to increase in areas of trust is also similar. Or is this just is a major area of growth needed in my life? No, I think not.
I believe this easily applies to you as well.

There are three things which I've found helpful with intentionally growing in areas of trust:
1. Maintain a close relationship with Christ - this helps me see others through His lens.
2. Stretch myself in building doable relationships by reaching out to those
who seem to also struggle with trust.
3. Quiet these internal demands of perfection from myself and others.

What is one way you can begin repairing your ability to trust?

If you're struggling in this area take some time to spend with God and let him show you the first step in your growth process. Invite Him into this journey every single day. He's the best coach along this road of growth.

You could never even dream up One better than He!

Lets Do Life Together

The need for connection and relationship cannot be ignored or your 'forever' will suffer. Even this temporal life cannot be  done well on one's own.  We need one another.  We need community. Please remember, you are needed.  You are so very loved.

'The Wrinkles on My Face' (Lizzie's short story)

Name: Lizzie Tegart Age: 10 years Grade: 5th Date: November 12, 2012   Wrinkles on My Face It’s a dark morning. The alarm clock wakes me up with its “beep, beep, beep, beep.” I pressed the snooze button but the beeping only stopped for a while. When it started up again, I wanted to throw my alarm clock out the window but I knew that I shouldn’t so I got up. “Burr”, I said out loud. The floor was freezing cold on my toes! I tried to feel around for my bunny slippers but found only one of them, so I put on the one that I found and hopped to the bathroom. When I got there I flipped on the light; the light was bright on my tired eyes. I squinted and looked around to see my other slipper sitting by the bathtub. “Oh good,” I thought “now both feet will be warm.” After I put my other slipper on I decided to brush my teeth. Still squinting, I opened the cabinet and felt around for my toothbrush. As I looked through half closed eyes for the tube I thought, “I hope the raspber...
